Variety is reporting that John will make his off-broadway debut in “Dry Powder“.
John Krasinski will make his stage debut at the Public Theater this spring in “Dry Powder,” a new play to be staged by “Hamilton” director Thomas Kail.
Krasinski will play one of the finance-world power brokers at the center of Sarah Burgess’ play, in which the head of a private equity firm must deal with a PR disaster resulting from the blowout engagement party he threw during the same week that his company forced layoffs at a grocery store chain. Krasinski will play one of the company’s executives, who comes up with a solution to the problem but finds himself battling another exec with a different agenda.
Kail’s last outing at the Public was the Off Broadway premiere of “Hamilton,” the Lin-Manuel Miranda musical that has gone on to become a top seller on Broadway. Krasinski’s turn on the boards marks the latest starry get for Off Broadway’s Public Theater, which recently hosted Ann Hathaway in “Grounded” and currently is presenting Lupita Nyong’o in “Eclipsed.”
Burgess was one of the writers on the Woodshed Collective’s site-specific 2011 outing “The Tenant” and has worked on Naked Angels’ monthly podcast “Naked Radio.”
Krasinski, an alum of “The Office,” adds “Dry Powder” to a dance card that also includes upcoming Michael Bay film “13 Hours,” set for release in January. “Dry Powder” begins previews March 1.

John briefly talked to People magazine during the event and discussed his marriage and parenthood:
“It’s really that we just got lucky,” Krasinski, 35, told PEOPLE of their relationship. “It’s one of those things, I’m having more fun now than the day I met her, and it’s pretty wild. I don’t know the formula to it, but I think she’s hilarious, extremely talented, and I’m definitely her No. 1 fan.”
Blunt, 32, and Krasinski are entering their second year as parents, following the February 2014 birth of daughter Hazel, and it’s a journey that has changed “everything,” Krasinski said.
“I think when you commit your life to anything like that it changes everything. All of the cliches are true,” he said.
A former Office co-worker may have put it best.
Krasinski said: “I remember Steve Carell said to me, ‘If your old life was your favorite book, then after you have a kid you are picking up a totally different book that is now your new favorite book.’ ”

John wrote a ‘love letter’ to his friend Jimmy Kimmel in the current issue of Entertainment Weekly. We have added the scans of John’s letter in our gallery:
You may know Jimmy Kimmel as the late night dude with a penchant for pranking who used to be the co-host of The Man Show and The Sports Guy on KROQ. Which means you may not truly know Jimmy Kimmel. That’s why in this week’s EW cover story, we go beyond the stage of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!—and through the stages of JImmy Kimmel’s life—to paint a more detailed, and, yes, perhaps surprising picture of the person who stands as one of the best reasons to blow off your bedtime. How exactly did we do this? By ringing up his family members, friends, coworkers, and such. You’ll hear revealing anecdotes from his parents, his childhood priest, and celebrities like Ben Affleck, Lena Dunham, John Krasinski, Sarah Silverman and Will Arnett—the very people who have sat in his guest chair on his show and at his house.
John attended the Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood Barneys New York & OXFAM Benefit yesterday with his wife Emily Blunt. High quality images have been added in our gallery.
