It was announced that Johh, Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Merchant will bring the Lip Sync battle to TV. Spike TV ordered a first season which will premiere April 2, 2015. THR reported the following story last year:

Spike TV is partnering with Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski and Stephen Merchant to bring Lip Sync Battle to TV.

The Viacom-owned cable network has picked up the series based on Fallon’s regular late-night bit featuring celebrities going head to head and lip synching the song of their choice in a battle for bragging rights.
In addition to serving as executive producers, Fallon, Krasinski and Merchant will appear and perform on Lip Sync Battle. The series will tape in January in New York for a bow on Thursday, April 2, 2015. Additional information about the show’s host and participating talent will be announced later.

Spike’s Lip Sync Battle hails from Fallon’s Eight Million Plus Productions, Krasinski, Stephen, Rick Schwartz of Eight Million Plus, Jay Peterson of Matador and Casey Patterson, exec vp talent development and production at Viacom Entertainment Group. Emmy-winning Beth McCarthy-Miller (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, The Sound of Music Live, Modern Family) will direct.

“Lip sync battling is one of the coolest things happening in pop culture right now and already has a huge fan base thanks to the amazing talent involved,” Patterson said. “We’re thrilled to be in business with producers as talented as Jimmy, John and Stephen as Spike broadens its programming in new and exciting ways.”

It was announced earlier this year that LL Cool J was set to host the series. THR released the following statement:

“Like the rest of the world, I’m a big fan of these battles, but this show is going to bring it to a whole new level,” the rapper-actor said. “I’m thrilled to be working with Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski, Stephen Merchant and the entire team to host the show and can’t wait for the fans at home to join in!”

People Magazine released the first trailer for John’s upcoming movie “Aloha“, previously known as Untitled Cameron Crowe/Hawaii Project.

The Aloha trailer is here – and its ensemble is about as A-list as you can get!

The Sony comedy stars Bradley Cooper as a military contractor who, after blowing an assignment, returns to his old stomping grounds: the U.S. space program in Honolulu.

Things get complicated when he reconnects with a former flame (Rachel McAdams) and starts to fall for a peppy air force liaison (Emma Stone). Meanwhile, John Krasinski appears as a soldier, Alec Baldwin pops up as Cooper’s angry superior, and – for good measure – Bill Murray spews nuggets of wisdom throughout.

The film, written and directed by Cameron Crowe (Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous), hits theaters May 29.

Ali and Sara had to step down so I decided to come back on board again as owner. I have updated the site with the latest news & updates in the last few days, so we are all caught up on the main news reports and events. I have also decided to redo the gallery. All the recent events and updates have been added in our new gallery which you can find under the /gallery. So please bear with me while I’m in the process of moving galleries. The main reason for the gallery move is to reorganize all the files, replace files with better quality when possible, and add lots of additions. I finished moving the Magazine Scans, Screencaptures, and Miscellaneous. I also created a new category: Other Projects.

I also finished moving the Photoshoot & Portraits section of the gallery. I replaced a lot of images with better quality, was able to add lots of additions and added some missing photoshoots as well. I also sorted everything by year and (magazine) source. As you can see I also launched a brand new layout and it features outtakes of one of my favorite John photoshoots: his Parade 2008 shoot. Thanks to MonicaNDesign for the theme base. We would love to hear your thoughts about our new look (and if you spot any errors!) and stay tuned for more gallery updates!

A special thanks to Annie and Renee for their contributions. Don’t forget to bookmark our new gallery and you can follow our (new) twitter account @jkrasinskiweb and be the first to find out when we have a new update!
