John and his wife Emily Blunt attended the “Fool For Love” Opening Night at Broadway yesterday evening. The first images have been added to our gallery.
Variety is reporting that John will make his off-broadway debut in “Dry Powder“.
John Krasinski will make his stage debut at the Public Theater this spring in “Dry Powder,” a new play to be staged by “Hamilton” director Thomas Kail.
Krasinski will play one of the finance-world power brokers at the center of Sarah Burgess’ play, in which the head of a private equity firm must deal with a PR disaster resulting from the blowout engagement party he threw during the same week that his company forced layoffs at a grocery store chain. Krasinski will play one of the company’s executives, who comes up with a solution to the problem but finds himself battling another exec with a different agenda.
Kail’s last outing at the Public was the Off Broadway premiere of “Hamilton,” the Lin-Manuel Miranda musical that has gone on to become a top seller on Broadway. Krasinski’s turn on the boards marks the latest starry get for Off Broadway’s Public Theater, which recently hosted Ann Hathaway in “Grounded” and currently is presenting Lupita Nyong’o in “Eclipsed.”
Burgess was one of the writers on the Woodshed Collective’s site-specific 2011 outing “The Tenant” and has worked on Naked Angels’ monthly podcast “Naked Radio.”
Krasinski, an alum of “The Office,” adds “Dry Powder” to a dance card that also includes upcoming Michael Bay film “13 Hours,” set for release in January. “Dry Powder” begins previews March 1.
Additional high quality images of John during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival premiere of “Sicario” have been added in our gallery. Many thanks to my friend Luciana for her donations. We apologize on the delay of adding these.
John attended the “Sicario” premiere during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival earlier today alongside his beautiful wife Emily Blunt, who stars in the movie. The first high quality images have been added to our gallery.
We have added our final batch of public appearances in our gallery. We replaced most images with better quality and were able to add lots of additions. This means we finished with out event section in our gallery, which is now complete up until now.
We are very excited to introduce a brand new site feature: the project spotlight. We are planning on giving a television or movie project of John the ‘spotlight’ the coming months. This will give us the opportunity to update the related gallery category and information page(s) of the site. This idea was inspired by my friend Frederik from HelenMirrenArchives.org. Our first spotlight is “Aloha“, which released on Blu-Ray/DVD earlier this week in the U.S.A. John co-stars alongside Rachel McAdams, Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone and Bill Murray. The movie is written and directed by Cameron Crowe. The blu-ray screencaptures can be found in our gallery and we also updated our information page and video archive with related content.
We continue our gallery updates, as promised before. We finished merging our galleries and today we will update you with the 2008-2009 public appearances. We replaced most images with better quality and added lots of additions.
You might also have noticed that our gallery doesn’t have any intermediate pictures. From now on, we use a new script that will allow you to see the full size image after clicking on the thumbnail. It’s resized to fit in with your browser and it’s more mobile friendly for all devices.
We are very excited to welcome everyone back to the new and improved John Krasinski Web! As we previously announced we changed hosts and you can only reach us by using our new domain name John-Krasinski.net. We would appreciate it if you helped us spread the word about our new domain.
We finished moving our site to the new server so everything is up&running again. I also worked very hard behind the scenes and I completed merging our two galleries into one. You can expect more related updates on this the coming weeks, but be sure to head over to our new gallery to check it out. We are also excited to announce the re-launch of our video archive.
We are planning on expanding our content the coming months from this point forwards while also keeping you up-to-date on John’s career. With all the changes – mainly behind the scenes – it’s now easier for everyone to browse our site. You might miss some old content in the gallery (mainly screencaptures) or video archive but we will re-add everything. We just want to sort everything so we can add the best and most complete content possible.
Finally, as you probably noticed already, we have launched a brand new layout with matching themes for our gallery and video archive. It’s mobile friendly so it should be easier to visit our site while using mobile devices. Thanks to Carol from sin21 designs for the beautiful theme premade. Also, be sure to follow our twitter feed @jkrasinsiweb for all the latest news & updates. We lost access to our old account so we had to sign up for a new one.
We would like to remind everyone that “Aloha” has been released on DVD/Blu-Ray earlier this week in the U.S.A. The movie was previously released on Digital HD. The movie is written and directed by Cameron Crowe and John co-stars alongside Rachel McAdams, Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper, Bill Murray, Danny McBride, Alec Baldwin, Jaeden Lieberher, and Danielle Rose Russell. For additional information about the special features, be sure to check out our previous post. Cameron Crowe’s official website TheUnCool.com released a preview of the official Making-Of documentary of the movie, which is featured on the DVD/Blu-Ray/On Demand.
John and his wife Emily Blunt attended the Rise Nation Fitness Studio’s Los Angeles Grand Opening on Friday to support personal trainer Jason Walsh. The high quality images have been added in our gallery.
John briefly talked to People magazine during the event and discussed his marriage and parenthood:
“It’s really that we just got lucky,” Krasinski, 35, told PEOPLE of their relationship. “It’s one of those things, I’m having more fun now than the day I met her, and it’s pretty wild. I don’t know the formula to it, but I think she’s hilarious, extremely talented, and I’m definitely her No. 1 fan.”
Blunt, 32, and Krasinski are entering their second year as parents, following the February 2014 birth of daughter Hazel, and it’s a journey that has changed “everything,” Krasinski said.
“I think when you commit your life to anything like that it changes everything. All of the cliches are true,” he said.
A former Office co-worker may have put it best.
Krasinski said: “I remember Steve Carell said to me, ‘If your old life was your favorite book, then after you have a kid you are picking up a totally different book that is now your new favorite book.’ ”
